Do you think people will still buy ethical during the credit crunch?

I have been buying Fairtrade for a while now and I really don’t think it will stop me from buying Fairtrade stuff.
Janet Rodgers, Farnborough

I would rather save money in other ways than give up buying Fairtrade.
Peter Bevan, Northampton

Buying Fairtrade is usually a little more expensive, so I don’t think that people who support the Fairtrade Foundation will be put off by a little increase in price. I believe in the job they do and I still want to support it.
Melissa Godfrey, North Yorkshire

I think Fairtrade is a trend and I doubt it will survive the squeeze. I don’t think the vast majority of people really know what Fairtrade really means so I don’t think they will be rushing to spend more money on their food when they don’t have much money to spend in the first place.
Gemma Evans, Plymouth

Supermarkets and stores need to get behind Fairtrade and offer discounts on products!
Lucinda Jones, London
