Suma Organic Rigatoni Oat Pasta Wins Great Taste Award 2025

Suma Wholefoods is proud to announce that its Organic Rigatoni Oat Pasta has been awarded a prestigious 1-star rating in the 2025 Great Taste Awards – the world’s largest and most trusted food and drink accreditation scheme.
Described by the judges as “a well-made pasta that holds its shape beautifully with an oat-rich creaminess, ridges that cling to sauce, and a characterful flavour that lingers,” the rigatoni impressed in a highly competitive year. All Great Taste products are blind-tasted by industry experts, with less than 40% of entries receiving an award in 2025.
Crafted using organic oats and bronze-die cut for an authentic texture, Suma’s Rigatoni Oat Pasta offers a hearty, plant-based alternative that delivers both innovation and quality in the free-from category.
Suma’s Organic Penne Pasta and Yirgacheffe Coffee were also entered into the awards. While they did not receive stars this year, the judging panel gave them strong feedback – a notable achievement given the rigorous tasting process and increasingly high standards.
“We’re so happy to see our oat pasta recognised by the Great Taste Awards,” said Sophie Ziegler-Jones, spokesperson for Suma. “Our co-operative is committed to sourcing only the best ethical, sustainable, plant-based products. This award affirms that we’re achieving our aims.”
Suma Wholefoods, a leading worker-owned co-operative, continues to push boundaries in ethical, organic food. Its ever-expanding range caters to the growing demand for plant-based, allergen-friendly, and sustainable products across the UK retail landscape.
