Organic brand supports animal welfare cause

The Organic Protein Company has donated more than £1,000 to an animal welfare charity.

The Brighton-based business has raised more than £1,100 for Compassion in World Farming as part of its commitment to donate 25p for every pack sold of its organic whey protein.

Founder, Daniel Whitehead, commented: “Animal welfare is really important to us and I am more than delighted that our strong growth has enabled us to make this donation after less than a year of operation. Compassion in World Farming does a great job in helping improve the welfare of farm animals in the UK and around the world and we will continue to support the organisation in the same way.”

Emma Slawinski, Compassion’s Head of Campaigns, added: “We rely on the generosity of our supporters in order for us to keep campaigning for farm animals and their welfare. We’re so grateful to The Organic Protein Company for not only ensuring that its dairy products are higher welfare, but for helping us to keep fighting the good fight.”
